Reading about families grieving the loss of loved ones to Covid and natural disasters makes us so grateful for our blessings. An unplanned for event can change a life dramatically even for those who seem to have advantages and stability in their lives. Perhaps you know of someone who has fallen on hard times and needs a hand. We have met some in our volunteer work with NOHO Home alliance and their stories are humbling. Many have lost their homes and jobs and comfortable lives due to health issues and expensive medical treatments. Others have addiction or mental issues. We try not to judge and just focus on what we can do to help them get through the day. Living on the streets is tough.

Ray and I help organize clothing donations, maintain a book cart, create hygiene kits, prepare and serve meals, and wash lots of pots and pans...wearing masks, gloves and socially distancing, of course. We are raising money to provide additional services and hope that you will help us by making a donation to this organization about which we care deeply.

Reading about families grieving the loss of loved ones to Covid and natural disasters makes us so grateful for our blessings. An unplanned for event can change a life dramatically even for those who seem to have advantages and stability in their lives. Perhaps you know of someone who has fallen on hard times and needs a hand. We have met some in our volunteer work with NOHO Home alliance and their stories are humbling. Many have lost their homes and jobs and comfortable lives due to health issues and expensive medical treatments. Others have addiction or mental issues.
