As my birthday approaches, so does a fundraising event of this community based organization headquartered at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in North Hollywood. What a fantastic group of people! The pastor, her staff and dozens of volunteers (including myself during holidays) provide a ton of services to un-housed folks in the area, from food and clothing to medical check-ups and connections to housing. They are compassionate, realistic, and efficient! If anybody is looking for an opportunity to render a lot of good for the community for not much money, please consider donating to them. Thank you!
