As you know, the number of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles has reached intolerable proportions. COVID has only made the situation worse. For the last 3 years, I've been volunteering at NoHo Home Alliance an organization trying to make a small difference in the lives of people who are housing insecure.

I am asking you to support our efforts by contributing to our annual fundraiser. This Saturday is the 2nd Annual Noho Home Alliance Sleepout, an evening with live and streaming entertainment, food, and chance to spend time with the dedicated people of NohoHome Alliance. The work of NoHo Home Alliance is daunting, but the organization is amazing and inspiring. When I started we offered services 2 days a week. Now we've expanded to 4 days a week at 2 locations. We offer hot meals, bagged lunches, clothing, hygiene kits, a secure mailing address, document storage, medical and dental help, and assistance with lost documents like birth certificates or a state ID. We also provide help, through the county, in securing temporary housing, bridge housing, vouchers and other assistance when possible.

Every Monday, I open up the facility and get things started. I get to work with an incredible group of volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to doing what they can to alleviate the suffering we see all around us. That's why I am asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, will make a difference in the life of a person experiencing homelessness.
